Welcome to all our new entrants since our May Newsletter, and thank you for your support of Home Brewed in 2006. With the days running out until the official closing date for entries, we've got a few last minute tidbits for you...

The official closing date for Home Brewed is 21 July 2006 (entries posted and postmarked on that day will be accepted). However, if you enter through Withoutabox (go to www.homebrewedfilm.com and click on the "Click Here to Begin Your Entry" Withoutabox link, late entries will exclusively be accepted for an extra week!!

During the week of 22 July 2006 - 28 July 2006 the only way to enter Home Brewed will be through Withoutabox, no other late entries will be accepted.

Want to make a quick 100 bucks? Forward this Newsletter on to any friends, family, filmmaking buddies, pets etc. who you think might be keen to enter Home Brewed.

If they enter (and this is the crucial bit), make sure they write YOUR NAME on the top corner of the entry form (if they get it in during the next few days) or type it into the COMMENTS section on the Withoutabox online entry form. Anyone who generates 3 or more entries is in the running, and the person who generates the most gets the $100. Simple!

Home Brewed has locked in 4 screenings at Hoyts Entertainment Quarter (Fox Studios) in Sydney from 18 to 21 October in the final week of the Festival. The program will feature a range of shorts and features. A new venue in Lake Crackenback (near the Australian skifields) has also been announced and our venue announcements for Canberra, Melbourne, Bowral and Wollongong will be out on our website in the coming weeks.

Don't forget to keep an eye out for our Home Brewed filmmaking workshops presented by industry experts, and our special Q&A sessions which will be running in Canberra and Sydney during the festival.

Thursday night, 20 July 2006 sees the first of our "best of" screenings at the Shoalhaven Campus of the University of Wollongong as part of its ongoing "Off the Mainstream" film nights. Screening is in the Ray Cleary Building of the Campus (George Evans Road, North Nowra). Starts at 7.30pm with a bargain entrance price (all funds to the uni) of $3. The program is a selection of our prize winning and director-favourite films from years gone by.
